Meeting called to order by President Stan Nihart at the Lodge with the following members present:
Larry Altman, Jeff Arnold, Matt Arnold, Kevin Beck, Rachelle Delno, Dan Griffin, Tracy Harding, Matt Krill, Carl Long, Mose Mohre, Colin Rose, Jason Shaffer, Jim Snivley, Jeremy Viers and Jim Walker.  Excused member was Greg Brillhart.

Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by K. Beck to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted.  Motion passed after voice vote.

Treasurer’s report:  (refer to hard copy of minutes)
Motion by R. Delno, 2nd by J. Snivley to accept treasurer’s report.  Motion passed after voice vote.

J. Arnold reported the Cops with Kids solicitations are going well and mailings have gone out to 57 kids.  C. Rose reported he has ordered banners for use at Wal*Mart and K-Mart during the program. The program will start at 9:00 AM, December 18, 2004.

The building committee reported they would like to see several items finished at the lodge before taking on any other projects.  No major repairs are anticipated at this time.  Possibly look into a new roof next year.

R. Delno informed everyone of the 'Neighbor’s in Need' program asking if the lodge would want to make a donation.  After some discussion, motion by R. Delno, 2nd by J. Shaffer to donate $200. Motion passed after voice vote.

J. Shaffer reported he will be participating in the FOP Polar Bear Plunge again this year and requested a donation.  Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by M. Mohre to donate the same amount as last year ($250).  Motion passed after voice vote.

S. Nihart led discussion on amending the Constitution & By-laws, Article III, Section I pertaining to Lodge membership as follows:

ARTICLE III
Lodge Membership
Section I.  The membership of Captain Custar Lodge No. 181 shall be limited to full-time and part-time Law Enforcement Officers who are employed by the government of the United States, the State of Ohio, or its local subdivisions to perform law enforcement duties in (said) the County of Williams, State of Ohio, or persons who have been honorably retired from such employment because of length of service or disability. (, except elected officials and persons who have ceased to perform police work for any other reason.)
To accept change to Section I of Article III:

S. Nihart reported that Robert Custar, Rick Ponsak, John Richard and Larry Sanders had been moved from Lifetime membership to Honorary membership.  As Honorary members, they still have all lodge rights but are not listed on the State or Grand Lodge Roster.

S. Nihart presented a letter from Tumble City Gymnastics reporting they are sending 18 kids to LasVegas for competition February 18 thru 20, 2005 and would appreciate a donation.  After some discussion, motion by C. Long, 2nd by R. Delno to donate $25 per kid ($450 total).  Motion passed after voice vote.

S. Nihart presented a letter requesting a donation to be used for a 9-11 memorial being built in Austintown, OH.  Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by J. Shaffer to donate $40.  Motion passed after voice vote.

S. Nihart asked if anyone would be interested in an FOP dinner to be held at Sam’s Place.  After some discussion, it was decided to have a member’s only dinner on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 starting at 6:00 PM.  Stan requested RSVP’s by December 7.

M. Mohre stated he will furnish food for the next regular meeting to be held Tuesday, January 25, 2005.

There being no further business, motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by T. Harding to adjourn.  Motion passed after voice vote.
