Meeting called to order by President Stan Nihart at Lodge with the following members present: Motion by K. Beck, 2nd by J. Arnold to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted. Motion passed after voice vote. Treasurer’s report: (refer to hard copy of minutes) J. Walker reported that he and B. Noethen went to Ft Wayne last week and purchased a 62” LCD big screen TV, an 8 speaker surround sound system, battery backup, the needed cables and 5 year maintenance agreement for approx $3,800. This was approximately $1,200 under the amount allowed per the motion made January 24, 2006. K. Beck stated he thought the Octoberfest was a success this year. He also stated we need to get some additional tables. After discussion, motion by J. Viers, 2nd by R. Brown to have B. Noethen check prices and purchase two 8’ folding tables. Motion passed after voice vote. J. Arnold reported Cops with Kids will be held at Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Wal*Mart and K-Mart in Bryan with Santa at Wesley Church afterwards. After some discussion, motion by K. Beck, 2nd by J. Snivley to proceed with completing the kitchen area to include new cupboards and countertop stove. Motion passed after voice vote. Discussion was held on what to do to protect the new big screen television. Some suggestions were to cover the TV with doors. Another suggestion was for parents to supervise their children more closely. It was decided to leave the decision concerning doors to J. Walker as he is building the stand. Discussion as to why the TV tower and antenna has not been installed. B. Noethen reported Mohre Electronics is unable to handle the installation until after the 1st of the year and he has been unable to contact Rummel. It was decided to stay with Mohre as a motion had been previously passed for them to handle. Nominations and elections of officers for 2007. President: Stan Nihart nominated. No further nominations. Nihart elected. Vice-President: B. Noethen and D. Griffin nominated. No further nominations and Griffin elected after secret vote. Secretary: J. Walker nominated. No further nominations. Walker elected. Treasurer: B. Noethen nominated. No further nominations. Noethen elected. Historian: R. Delno nominated. No further nominations. Delno elected. Chaplin: M. Krill nominated. No further nominations. Krill elected. Sgt at Arms: K. Stickney and J. Snivley nominated. Stickney declined. No further nominations. Snivley elected. 3 year Trustee: J. Priester nominated. No further nominations. Priester elected. J. Arnold thanked R. Brown for all the work he did preparing for the Criminal Justice Octoberfest this year. R. Brown thanked T. Harding and J. Arnold for their assistance. B. Noethen thanked C. Rose for his years of service to the Lodge as Treasurer. S. Nihart advised the Lodge normally presents outgoing officers, who have served at least 5 years, with an FOP ring. Rose declined the ring at this time stating he will advise at the next meeting.
