Meeting called to order by Secretary Jim Walker at the Lodge with the following members present:
Jeff Arnold, Kevin Beck, Greg Brillhart, Tracy Harding, Bill Hodapp, Matt Krill, Jason Shaffer and Jim Snivley.  Excused members were Matt Arnold, Rachelle Delno, Jim Edwards, Dan Griffin, Stan Nihart, Colin Rose and Jeremy Viers.  Also present was Dan Hughes.

The meeting was turned over to Sheriff’s Candidates Dan Hughes and Kevin Beck for short presentations by them along with questions and answers.

Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by K. Beck to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted.  Motion passed after voice vote.

No treasurer’s report.

J. Walker reported he had received $100 payment for the old water tank.

During discussion on the upcoming Criminal Justice October Fest being held Saturday, October 16, it was reported S. Nihart will be getting all the food around and J. Shaffer volunteered to pick up the BBQ from F&M Bank.

J. Arnold reported the contract has been signed for this years ‘Cops with Kids’.  We will again be getting a split of 50%.  Solicitations are to start November 1 and will continue up until the program.

J. Walker reminded everyone that next months meeting will be held one week early on October 19 and will be election of officers for 2005.
