Meeting called to order by Sergeant of Arms, Gary Mohre who also led the Pledge of Allegiance.  Members in attendance: Ed Biederstedt, Scott Boyd, Randy Buehrer, Dan Cline, Gale Horn, Matt Krill, Nick Lanzer, Steve Schlosser, Andy Skiles, Jeremy Viers, Tyson Wasilewski, Terry Bartel, John Doseck, Gary Mohre, Stan Nihart and Paul Zawodny.  Vice President, Tom Szymczak reported his absence due to training.

Motion by Randy Buehrer, 2nd by Steve Schlosser to accept August’s secretary report.  Motion passed after voice vote.

Motion by Matt Krill, 2nd by Ed Biederstedt to accept Treasures report as submitted by Treasurer, Stan Nihart.  Motion passed after voice vote and hard copy attached.

OLD BUSINESS:
Jeremy Viers advised of a summary of the Tara Arnold golf outing in which Matt Arnold relayed his appreciation.
Steve Schlosser and teammates were listed on the golf plaque and congratulated on being the winning team.
Stan Nihart wanted to remind membership of FOP dinner and raffle, October 6 starting at 5:30.  Help is always appreciated and a requirement for members applying for scholarships.
Also noted that the zero turn mower had a maintenance check that was long overdue and a list of jobs needed done around the property will be left for members looking for work details.
Thank you notes were received from participants in the area fairs.  Two remaining tickets to Firekeepers Casino available that were purchased to support the Humane Society and Williams County Sheriff’s Office K9 fund.

NEW BUSINESS:
Gale Horn noted his retirement party is October 12, 2018 at Post 20 and there will be an additional reception at Stoney Ridge Winery after 6 pm.
Motion by Gary Mohre, 2nd by Terry Bartel to move Gale Horn to Life Member.  Motion passed after voice vote.
Motion by Stan Nihart, 2nd by Matt Krill to contact an area company to do maintenance on water softener.  Motion passed after voice vote.
Motion by Gary Mohre, 2nd by Gale Horn to give $500.00 to Teresa Kroetz to help with costs associated with medical care for her husband, Gene Groetz.  Motion passed after voice vote.
Members were notified of the passing of Leroy “Rick” Mock, former Chief of Police for Bryan Police Department.
Also a plaque will be given to Roger Blough as he goes through his own medical treatment.  He has been a great and longtime supporter of Cops for Kids.
Motion by Jeremy Viers, 2nd by Steve Schlosser to continue with the same solicitor for Cops for Kids.  Motion passed by voice vote.  Calls will be starting the week prior to Thanksgiving.
Motion by Stan Nihart, 2nd by Steve Schlosser to sponsor two tables at $500.00 at the Veterans Ball, November 10, 2018.  Motion passed by voice vote.  It was recommended that members that are veterans be given the first opportunity to attend.
Motion by Jeremy Viers, 2nd by Steve Schlosser to have a fall party at the lodge, October 20, 2018 with meat and beverages provided.  Motion passed by voice vote.

Motion to adjourn by Matt Krill, 2nd by Gale Horn.  Motion passed after voice vote.
