Meeting called to order by President Kevin Hager at the Lodge with the following members present: Motion by C. Rose, 2nd by J. Snivley to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted. Motion passed after voice vote. Treasurer's report: (refer to hard copy of minutes) K. Hager presented Fred Reimann for reinstatement as a member. Motion by L. Lawrence, 2nd by J. Snivley to accept. Motion passed after voice vote. The Lodge party will be held Saturday, July 13, 2002 starting at 6:00 PM. There will be faxes sent to all department and e-mails to members requesting RSVP by July 3, 2002. Members attending should bring a passing dish and it was noted the Lodge will supply canned beer instead of a keg. The Lodge will provide steaks and chicken breasts. K. Hager reported that the memorial monument has been ordered. L. Lawrence expressed his thanks to the Lodge for the help and thoughts concerning his daughter. S. Nihart requested a donation to New Heights Gymnastics. Motion by C. Rose, 2nd by K. Beck to purchase a full-page ad for $100. Motion passed after voice vote. Motion by S. Nihart, 2nd by B. Noethen to present a plaque and $50 gift certificate to Ivan Rosario, 109 Avalon Dr., Bryan. OH (636-5295) and to Janice Gardner, 15115 CR 15-C, Bryan, OH (636-6813) in appreciation for them assisting Ptlm. Jeremy Jones, Bryan PD, immediately following his crash of a patrol car. Motion passed after voice vote. S. Nihart reported on the problems with the White front deck mower. He requested that we begin looking for a replacement and advised of prices he had received from Buehrer’s. After some discussion, motion by B. Noethen, 2nd by K. Beck for Nihart, Walker, Rose and Hager to shop around and make a purchase at their discretion not to exceed approximately $7,000. Motion passed after voice vote. C. Rose advised that he located a 5 cu. ft. freezer from Sears priced at $159.99. Motion by S. Nihart, 2nd by J. Walker for Rose to find the best price and purchase one. Motion passed after voice vote. K. Hager advised there will be a work detail Saturday, July 6, 2002 beginning at 10:00 AM. This will be to prepare for the party the following week and work on the new garage. K. Hager advised that due to the loss of J. Ridgway, we need a 2-year Trustee. B. Noethen volunteered to fill the position and was accepted. K. Hager also advised that we needed to fill a position on the Building Committee. J. Walker, S. Nihart and L. Lawrence all stated they were interested. J. Walker was appointed after taking a secret ballot vote. Other members of the Building Committee are C. Rose, K. Beck and J. Arnold. K. Hager discussed the Lodge Rules of Usage and requested that all members begin signing in and out as required as well as doing a better job at keeping the Lodge clean.
