Meeting called to order by President Stan Nihart at the Lodge with the following members present:
Kevin Beck, John Doseck, James Eaton, Gale Horn, Marvin Hug, Mike Marchek, Gary Mohre, Jason Randall, Matt Uran, Jeremy Viers and Jim Walker.

Motion by K. Beck, 2nd by M. Hug to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted.  Motion passed after voice vote.

Treasurer’s report:  none

S. Nihart reported the last poker night was a success and presented a donation.

Motion by K. Beck, 2nd by M. Hug to accept Randy Mohre, Blakeslee PD and Nick Lanzer and Greg Ruskey, WCSO, as new members.  Motion passed after voice vote.

S. Nihart reported Emily Doseck and Desiree Eaton had thanked the lodge for the scholarships they received.  J. Walker reported his daughter will not be accepting her scholarship as she is not currently enrolled in school.

K. Beck presented a proposal concerning raising the yearly lodge dues.  Further discussion was tabled until the next meeting.

J. Viers discussed possible changes in lodge membership requirements.  Discussion included Specials and Reserve officers to become Honorary Members for $20 per year with no benefits or State/Grand Lodge recognition.  Further discussion was tabled until a special meeting to be held August 26 at 7:00 PM at the Lodge.  A decision will be made at that time concerning both yearly dues and membership requirements.

J. Viers reported he will be participating in the Special Olympics Torch Run and requested a donation. Motion by S. Nihart, 2nd by K. Beck to donate $50.  Motion passed after voice vote.

S. Nihart requested setting a date for the Criminal Justice Octoberfest.  After discussion, motion by K. Beck, 2nd by J. Eaton to hold the event October 11 with a rain date of October 18.  Motion passed after voice vote.  The President directed the Secretary that when it comes time to send invitations to the membership, he is to advise members they must RSVP or they will not be eating.  Members serving on the committee are S. Nihart, M. Hug, G. Mohre, and M. Uran.

G. Horn reported 7 year old Ashley Cook from Bryan will be participating in a State pageant in Toledo as a for-runner of the Nation Miss America pageant and is requesting a sponsorship donation.  After discussion, the request was denied due to lack of a motion.

There being no further business, motion by G. Mohre, 2nd by M. Uran to adjourn.  Motion passed after voice vote.
