Meeting called to order by Sgt. at Arms, Gary Mohre who also led the Pledge of Allegiance.  The following members were in attendance via Zoom video app:  Ed Biederstedt, Scott Boyd, Chris Chapa, Justin Coffman, Ken Jacob, Michelle Jacob, Matt Krill, Steve Mendez, Josh Mercer, John Rathke, Jason Raymond, Jonathan Roberts, Greg Ruskey, Matt Sammons, Andy Skiles, Steve Suchocki, Jeremy Viers, Tyson Wasilewski, Terry Bartel, Gary Mohre, Stan Nihart and Tom Szymczak.

Jeremy Viers notified members that April's Secretary Report omitted Scott Boyd as being present.  Attendance form was updated.  Motion by Jason Raymond to accept April Secretary Report, 2nd by Greg Ruskey.  Motion passed after voice vote.

Treasure Justin Coffman gave Treasure's Report.  Motion by Matt Krill, 2nd by Scott Boyd to accept treasurer's report.  Motion passed after voice vote.  Hard copy attached.

Jeremy Viers advised members that the membership application of Tyler Maynard was held for one month for any concerns and now could be voted.  Motion by Justin Coffman, 2nd by Tom Szymczak to accept Tyler.  Motion passed after voice vote.

OLD BUSINESS:
Jeremy Viers advised that no FOP raffle and no Tara Arnold golf outing will take place in 2020 due to preparations not getting accomplished due to covid.

NEW BUSINESS:
Jeremy Viers reported of a new expense form to be completed for the lodge for members to be reimbursed for approved lodge expenses.  Motion by Jeremy Viers to accept the form, 2nd by Tom Szymczak.  Motion passed after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers updated members that Relay for Life is still being planned for August 14, 2020 at the Williams County Fairgrounds.  Should the event be changed due to covid, the money may be used as a donation.  Motion by Jeremy Viers to continue with spending $400.00 at the raffle, 2nd by Jason Raymond.  Motion passed after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers said the annual Torch Run for Special Olympics will be virtual in 2020.  Motion by Jason Raymond to donate $250.00, 2nd by Steve Suchocki.  Motion passed after voice vote.
Motion by Greg Ruskey to move Steve Towns to life member, 2nd by Michelle Jacob.  Discussion regarding Steve resigning and not retiring and his signed agreement to never be a law enforcement officer in Ohio to avoid felony prosecution.  It was also brought up by Andy Skiles that a complaint had been filed to expel Steve Towns as a member.  Discussion continued regarding complaint after Motion was passed to move Steve Towns after majority voice vote.
Jeremy Viers advised members that a written complaint had been filed with the Secretary filed by Andy Skiles to expel Steve Towns as a member.  Complaint refers to Article XII, Section I of the Lodge Bylaws requires that a complaint be filed with the Secretary regarding the suspension or expulsion of a member.  Also discussed that Steve Towns would have an opportunity to present a defense at the next meeting in August regarding the complaint.  Jeremy Viers indicated the Trustees of the Lodge would be qualified as a committee to review the complaint with no objection noted.  Complaint and supporting documents were emailed to the three Trustees, Stan Nihart, Randy Buehrer and JR Treace.  Executive Board Members Jeremy Viers, Tom Szymczak, Andy Skiles and Justin Coffman were also emailed documents.  Original copy to be kept on file with the Secretary.  Hard copy attached.
Jeremy Viers reported that mowing the Lodge property was being done by a few members.
Stan Nihart reminded officers the Captain Custar Scholarship was intended for a son or daughter of a member who worked the annual raffle.  The rule was intended to have members work at the raffle that would later help that member's son or daughter with college or academy expenses.  It was understood that the member's acceptance to the lodge was after the 2019 raffle and that scholarship should've be denied as in the past.  It was discussed again as at the April's meeting that updating the eligibility status may need done for the 2021 applications as now there is no raffle scheduled this year.
Justin Coffman reported that the student was contacted by the scholarship committee regarding the Tara Arnold Scholarship.  The student was found to not studying for a career in Law Enforcement as required so the scholarship was declined and she understood the reason.
