Meeting called to order by Sgt. of Arms, Gary Mohre who also led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members present were Randy Buehrer, Jacob Ferrebee, Ken Jacob, Matt Krill, Ashley Kunish, Tyler Maynard, John Rathke, Andrew Skiles, Terry Bartel, Kevin Beck,
Ed Biederstedt, Marvin Hug, Gary Mohre, Steve Suchocki, Jeremy Viers and Jim Walker.
Motion to accept Secretary Report posted online by Randy Buehrer, 2nd by Terry Bartel with Motion passing after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers gave the financial report due to Justin Coffman not able to make the meeting. Motion to Accept was given by Marvin Hug, 2nd by Matt Krill with
Motion passing with voice vote.
OLD BUSINESS:
Several members and their families attended Wyse Guys pizza in West Unity to eat lunch and play video games and pinball.
Jeremy Viers updated Members about attending the training sponsored by the Bryan Area Foundation to learn the responsibility of board members and how to ensure
donations to nonprofits are spent with the right intention. He encouraged each of the Board Members watch the free training from the AG's Office on the
Charitable-University page on the Attorney General's website.
Jeremy Viers also reminded everyone there is a mowing calendar for lodge members to sign up for the summer.
NEW BUSINESS:
Scholarship committee reported that there were 9 applicants that qualified for the FOP Scholarship. Motion by Matt Krill, 2nd by Steve Suchocki to give $1,200.00
to each student with motion passing after voice vote.
Motion by Kevin Beck to purchase a $800.00 table for the Friends of the NRA Banquet in Defiance County. 2nd by Matt Krill with motion passing after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers spoke with Crossed Rifle regarding the Lodge getting 8 various guns of different value from the last banquet. There will be a trade of gun options
for the Lodge to be able to trade some smaller value handguns for a much better option for a future raffle.
Tyler Maynard was present and updated the Lodge on plans for the 2024 Park with the Police held at the Imagination Station. Motion by Gary Mohre to give $1,000.00
to help make purchases for kids. 2nd by Steve Suchocki with Motion passing after voice vote. Event will be June 8, 2024 from 10-3 and will count as a work
day for Members.
A conversation was started by Jeremy Viers regarding getting T-shirts with the Captain Custar and FOP to help identify members who may not have a uniform to wear
during special events. Conversation was tabled to be talked about at another meeting.
