Meeting called to order by President Stan Nihart at the Lodge with the following members present: Motion by T. Szymczak, 2nd by K. Beck to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted. Motion passed after voice vote. Treasurer’s report: none as Treasurer not present. T. Szymczak reported we received an additional 20% discount for the white gloves and mourning bands. The items have been received for a total of $205.50. Mohre Electronics has been contacted to install a television tower and antenna. They will get started as time allows. After discussion about sponsoring a midget race car, motion by G. Horn, 2nd by K. Beck to not sponsor it. Motion passed after voice vote. J. Viers is to investigate and report back on the legalities of sponsoring a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament. S. Nihart reported a mowing schedule has been made up and requested all members to sign up to mow this summer. We’ll plan on starting the mowing the 3rd week of May. An estimate was received from Cornerstone’s Flooring Outlet of Pioneer to carpet and tile the entire lodge for $2,469.96, which includes removing all old carpet and tile and installing new. After discussion, motion by B. Noethen, 2nd by J. Arnold to accept the bid and install #118 Copper Hill carpet and #107 Bisque tile. Motion passed after voice vote. Faxes and e-mails had been sent out previously requesting volunteers for the FOP Honor Guard. As very little interest has been shown and we only received 2 volunteers, it was decided to have each Chief and the Sheriff appoint one officer from their respective department to serve. G. Horn advised he will represent the OSP. J. Arnold brought a new U.S. flag and it has been raised. The furnace motor has been repaired and a new lifetime filter installed. S. Nihart requested a donation to the Bryan Softball Association. Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by G. Horn to donate $75. Motion passed after voice vote. There being no further business, motion by S.
