Meeting Called to order by President Jeremy Viers. Members Present: Mick Frisbie, Dan Cline, Jeff Arnold, John Doseck, Paul McCord, Ken Jacobs, Nick Lanzer, Steve Towns, Jeremy Viers, Dan McGee, Greg Ruskey, Jason Randall, Jeremy Jones, Tim Livengood, Terry Bartel, Paul Zawodny, Tom Szymczak, Scott Boyd, Bill Noethen, Jeff Ridgway, Justin Coffman, Tyson Wasilewski, Matt Krill, Steve Suchocki, Randy Mohre, Gary Mohre and Stan Nihart. Motion by J. Doseck, 2nd by T. Livengood to accept the minutes from the January Meeting, (with the addition of the voted on wording in Article III Section III, and to accept the minutes from the February Meeting. Motion Passed after voice vote. Treasurer’s report: (refer to hard copy of minutes) Motion by J. Viers, 2nd by S. Towns to accept Paul McCord as a new member. Motion Passed after voice vote. New Business: Dan McGee, representing the Montpelier Police Department, presented Bill Noethen with a retirement badge. Reminder to all members that we will be recognizing the National Police Memorial Day on May 15th, on the Court House lawn again this year. Scholarship Application were handed out and will continue to be available. Contact President J. Viers for an application. Applications are due April 30th, 2011. The Scholarship review committee will remain as follows: Tom Szymczak, Matt Krill and Jeff Arnold. Motion by J. Jones, 2nd by S. Suchocki to donate $200.00 for supplies to the ADAPT Training Course held in Pioneer April 18th-21st. This training is co-sponsored by the Pioneer Police Dept. and the State Highway Patrol. 32 student registrations are held open to Williams County Officers. Motion Passed after voice vote. Motion by S. Suchocki, 2nd by T. Szymczak to donate $500.00 to the family of the Sandusky Police Officer Andrew S. Dunn, age 30, who was killed in the line of duty this past week. T. Livengood will present the check in person at a memorial service on Wednesday. Motion Passed after voice vote. Motion by J. Jones, 2nd by J. Arnold to hold an election for the position of Lodge Secretary as R. Delno’s status has changed to a non-paid Reserve Deputy. Motion Passed after voice vote. Motion by G. Ruskey, 2nd by J. Jones to elect Steve Towns as new Lodge Secretary. S. Towns accepted the nomination. Motion Passed after voice vote. Old Business: J. Viers reported that the Women’s Self Defense class will be held on April 23rd at the Superior Athletic Complex in Montpelier, corner of SR 576 and CR J. S. Nihart reported the date of the Reverse Raffle set at Oct. 8th. The Bryan Eagles Lodge has donated their Hall again this year. Opened discussion as to requirements set on parents of Scholarship monies to participate in the raffle. Proposal will be made by S. Nihart at April Meeting. Lodge Treasure Bill Noethen gave 30 days notice of his resignation as Treasurer. President J. Viers accepted his notice of resignation. Motion by B. Noethen, 2nd by J. Jones to elect Dan McGee as new Lodge Treasure effective following the April Meeting. No other Officer’s were nominated. Motion Passed after voice vote. J. Viers asked for members to assist Historian S. Towns in a project to recognize Life Members. P. Zawodny and J. Ridgway both volunteered to assist. There being no further business, motion by Gary Mohre, 2nd by D. Cline to adjourn. Motion Passed after voice vote. - Back - |
