Meeting called to order by Sgt. of Arms, Gary Mohre who also led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members present were Justin Coffman, Matt Krill, Nick Lanzer, John Rathke, Andrew Skiles, Steve Suchocki, Jeremy Viers, Terry Bartel, Gary Mohre, and Paul Zawodny.
Motion by Matt Krill to accept January's Secretary Report as posted, 2nd by John Rathke with Motion passing after voice vote.
Treasure, Justin Coffman gave Treasure's Report. Motion by Gary Mohre, 2nd by Terry Bartel to accept with Motion passing after voice vote. Hard copy
attached. Jeremy Viers also gave update to Members regarding the Vanguard Account.
Austin Batt and Jamie Mendez were accepted as Members. Three new Member applications were received by Steve Graziani of Bryan PD and Jacob Spiess of Pioneer
PD. Jonathan Roberts from Pioneer PD turned in an application to be reactivated as a Member. All three applications will be held with no further
investigations to be made.
OLD BUSINESS:
Lodge Members stood and gave a moment of silence for Member John Doseck who recently passed away. An FOP Marker will go to the family as an appreciation for his
contributions to his community and Lodge. Jeremy Viers reported that money was received from the memorial listed to the Captain Custar Lodge. His member
status will now be moved as a deceased member.
Justin Coffman advised that Elite Doors was going to change the garage walk through door when time permits.
Jeremy Viers made comments regarding tree limbs that would be a great work day opportunity when the weather is better. Comments were also made to cut down the
thistle bushes that causes the zero turn tires to constantly get punctured and go flat.
NEW BUSINESS:
Jeremy Viers told members that he received the land survey and was completed.
Motion by Andy Skiles to move Steve Suchocki to Life Member, 2nd by Matt Krill with Motion being passed by voice vote. Steve was congratulated for his retirement
from Edgertonr PD.
Jeremy Viers talked about possible scholarships that could be paid this year. Scholarship committee will consist of Matt Krill, Andy Skiles and Justin Coffman.
Motion by Andy Skiles to give $50.00 to Theta Kappa Sorority for Easter egg hunt, 2nd by Terry Bartel with Motion passing after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers motioned for purchase of 2 tickets to the Kiwanis raffle at $40.00 each, 2nd by Steve Suchocki with Motion passing after voice vote.
A request was made to purchase a dinner and raffle tickets to St. Patrick’s School reverse drawing. Motion by Jeremy Viers to buy a ticket at $100.00, 2nd by
Terry Bartel with Motion passing after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers spoke about speaker Dave Grossman coming to the county to speak about having a Bulletproof Mind. Motion by Matt Krill to reimburse Members that pay
the $25.00 registration fee, 2nd by Steve Suchocki with Motion passing after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers also talked about an upcoming training from SART regarding a 2 day strangulation training at Sauder's amphitheater. Motion by Jeremy Viers to give
$200.00 to help sponsor but also to pay the $75.00 entry fee to officers that want to attend if their departments don't pay or reimburse the employee, 2nd by Matt
Krill with Motion passing after voice vote. Jeremy will take care of sending an email around to the agency heads regarding the Lodge paying for officer's registration.
Conversation regarding the Park with the Police event at the Imagination Station and Friends of NRA banquet upcoming were both tabled for later discussion. A
request for Members Tyler Maynard and Tyson Wasilewski to attend to talk about the events and how the Lodge might help.
