Meeting called to order by President Kevin Hager at the Lodge with the following members present:
Jeff Arnold, Kevin Beck, Dan Griffin, Bill Hodapp, Carl Long, Bill Noethen, Scott Pollick, Colin Rose, Jim Snivley and Jim Walker. Excused members were Matt Arnold, Greg Brillhart, Stan Bryner, Chris Chappa, John Doseck, Jim Edwards, Dan McGee, Deb Shindledecker and Rachelle Walsh.

After reading of the minutes of the last meeting, motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by B. Hodapp to accept.  Motion passed after voice vote.

Ty Siebenaler, Edon PD.  Motion by C. Rose, 2nd by S. Pollick to accept.  Motion passed after voice vote.

B. Noethen presented a proposal for a table and chairs from Current Office Solutions.  Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by K. Beck to purchase the table at $365 and 4 chairs at $79.37 each for a total price of $682.48.  Motion passed after voice vote.

After discussion concerning donations to the various county K-9’s, motion by B. Noethen, 2nd by J. Snivley to donate $100 to each K-9 including two at Williams Co. Sheriff’s Dept., one at Bryan PD and one at Edgerton PD.  Motion passed after voice vote.

K. Beck advised that Kurt Smith of Lutterbein Lumber is getting quotes for the driveway comparing concrete and asphalt.

J. Walker advised a notebook computer and printer cable were purchased for $1,499.95 at Best Buy.  He donated a printer and web cam to the lodge.

K. Hager reported the old air compressor has been returned to the lodge.

J. Arnold reported that Dick Brickel had contacted him concerning a donation for the Relay for Life to be held June 21-22.  Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by D. Griffin to donate $100.  Motion passed after voice vote.

Motion by C. Rose, 2nd by J. Snivley to donate $250 to Ashley Maugherman of Edon for the Ohio People for People Ambassador in Europe program with Maugherman to report back to the membership on her experiences.  Motion passed after voice vote.

K. Hager reported the Psi Iota Xi Sorority is again holding their Easter Egg Hunt March 30.  Motion by B. Noethen, 2nd by J. Arnold to donate $150.  Motion passed after voice vote.

K. Hager reported the Cleveland Indians are having an FOP days.  If anyone is interested, contact Hager before March 1.

C. Rose discussed purchasing trees from the Soil & Conservation Dept.  Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by B. Noethen to purchase two back yard packets for a total of $16.  Motion passed after voice vote.

The Police Officer Memorial Day is Wednesday, May 15, 2002.  Discussion included holding a service on Saturday, May 11, 2002 and the possibility of purchasing a permanent marker to be placed on the Court House Square.  K. Hager appointed a committee to set up the program including himself, Sgt at Arms J. Shaffer, Chaplain M. Krill, K. Beck and D. Griffin.

It was decided to drop L. Harding from the lodge membership as he is no longer functioning as a police officer.  (Note: It was later determined by the Secretary that Harding had already been dropped due to lack of attendance but because of an oversight, his name had not been removed from the attendance roster.  He had been removed from the State and Grand Lodge rosters.)

The Grand Lodge is putting together information on all local lodge’s histories and have sent a questionnaire.  C. Rose, J. Arnold and J. Walker were appointed by the President to complete it.

C. Rose reported there will be a work detail for the garage on Saturday, March 2, 2002 beginning at 10:00 AM.

There being no further business, motion by B. Noethen, 2nd by J. Snivley to adjourn.  Motion passed after voice vote.
