Meeting called to order by President Stan Nihart at the Lodge with the following members present:
Jeff Arnold, Matt Arnold, Kevin Beck, John Doseck, Jim Edwards, Dan Griffin, Matt Krill, Mose Mohre, Bill Noethen, Colin Rose, Jason Shaffer, Deb Shindledecker, Jim Snivley, Steve Suchocki, Steve Towns, Jeremy Viers and Jim Walker.  Excused members were Stan Bryner, Tracy Harding, Carl Long and Leo York.

Motion by S. Suchocki, 2nd by J. Arnold to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted.  Motion passed after voice vote.

Treasurer’s report:  (refer to hard copy of minutes)
Motion by B. Noethen, 2nd by J. Arnold to accept treasurer’s report.  Motion passed after voice vote.

It was noted that new member Steve Towns was in attendance.  New member Adam Buchman was unable to attend.

President Nihart again apologized to M. Mohre for the December meeting mix up when Mose brought food for a meeting we didn’t have.

J. Arnold reported he is still attempting to get the new French door ordered.

President Nihart requested the by-laws committee look at Article XIII, Section II of the Lodge Constitution concerning dues for lifetime members and report back at the next meeting with any possible changes.

Guest Mindy Herman was present to report that her brother, an Indiana State Police Trooper, along with other troopers from ISP Post 22 will be participating in the COPS run in Washington, DC on May 13, 2005.  She requested a donation to the COPS program and to help with travel expenses.  Motion by J. Arnold, 2nd by B. Noethen to donate $250.  Motion passed after voice vote.

J. Viers requested a possible amendment to Lodge Constitution to clarify how membership to the lodge is handled in case of job termination and/or suspension.  President Nihart requested the by-laws committee look at this and report back at the next meeting.

J. Viers presented a proposal for life and disability insurance that is available to the members of the Lodge for a fee of approximately $800 per year to cover all members.  After considerable discussion, it was tabled until the next meeting.

The 50/50 drawing was won by J. Shaffer who pocketed $10.

Several applications were handed out for college bound students for scholarship award requests.

President Nihart reported the old lodge VCR has been replaced with a new VCR/DVD player.  He then bid off the old player with the winning bid going to M. Krill for $5.00.

B. Noethen began a presentation concerning the lodge being re-arraigned and presented a list of items that would need to be done if the decision was made to keep the arraignment as is.  After a heated discussion, a secret ballot was taken with vote being 8 to 7 to move everything back the way it was.

B. Noethen then presented some carpet samples and a vote was taken on the preferred sample. Noethen is to handle getting the installation done.

There being no further business, motion by J. Shaffer, 2nd by B. Noethen to adjourn.  Motion passed after voice vote.
