Meeting called to order by Sgt. of Arms, Gary Mohre who also led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members present were Randy Buehrer, Ken Jacob, Matt Krill, Ashley Kunesh, Nick Lanzer, Jason Randall, Jason Raymond, Andy Skiles, Jeremy Viers, Terry Bartel,
Kevin Beck, Marvin Hug, Gary Mohre and Tom Szymczak.
Motion to accept Secretary Report posted online by Jason Raymond, 2nd by Terry Bartel with Motion passing after voice vote.
Jeremy Viers notified members that Justin Coffman wasn't present and gave a brief review of the financials with no Motion being given.
Jeremy Viers advised that money can be moved out of the checking to the Vanguard Mutual Funds. Motion by Marvin Hug to move $50,000 to interest bearing
account, 2nd by Matt Krill. Motion passed by voice vote.
OLD BUSINESS:
Jeremy Viers gave members an update on Cops with Kids and the Autism Center.
Ross Butler ended up winning the Henry Golden Boy with the Lodge gaining $2,000 from the raffle.
NEW BUSINESS:
Jeremy Viers reserved the Lodge for a card night on January 28 with Motion offered by Gary Mohre, 2nd by Tom Szymczak for the event.
Jeremy Viers advised of an upcoming bowling tournament scheduled for February 4 for first responders. Motion by Jason Raymond, 2 by Randy Buehrer to have the
Lodge sponsor and pay for extra expenses. Motion passed by voice vote.
Motion by Andrew Skiles, 2nd by Matt Krill to give additional money to the Bryan Area Foundation regarding the Tara Arnold Scholarship. The investment money had
gone below the level required for the BAF to continue to manage the scholarship.
There is a Fair Foundation banquet scheduled for March 2 in which a Motion by Jason Raymond to have the Glock handgun use during the banquet as a fund raiser. 2nd
by Randy Buehrer with Motion passing after voice vote. All the money raised will be donated to the Fair Foundation from the Lodge.
Tom Szymczak talked about the Mock Crash event that would be held at the fairgrounds this year. Motion by Gary Mohre, 2nd by Matt Krill to purchase 2 tarps and
order 10 motor vehicle safety kits for the student volunteers during the event. Motion passing after voice vote.
Motion by Matt Krill to purchase a vacuum, 2nd by Jason Raymond with Motion passing after voice vote.
Motion by Tom Szymszak to move Jeremy Viers into the Life Membership, 2nd by Matt Krill. Motion passing after voice vote.
There was also discussion regarding a game night at Wyse Guys Pizza in West Unity. Motion by Tom Szymczak to have Lodge sponsor the event, 2nd by Terry Bartel
with Motion passing after voice vote. Date and costs to be determined as plans will be made.
Scholarship applications to be turned in before the April meeting.
